ADVENTUREPRENEUR

Taking the Summit One Step Further

Seeing opportunities to build upon current adventure travel companies, David developed partnerships in Mexico, Africa and Nepal
David never intended to become a mountain climber. But when a friend invited him to climb Mt. Rainier, Snow decided to try this new experience. For David, that first climb was life-changing. Eventually, he would climb the highest summits of all seven continents, culminating in reaching the top of the world in May 2018. Snow would also be inspired to launch several successful mountain climbing and adventure companies in Africa, Nepal, Central and South America and the U.S. It all started with Pico de Orizaba and his partnership with the Canchola Family in central Mexico.

When David first met the Canchola family, they owned a small hotel and set up logistics for climbers who happened upon their company. With his guidance and expertise they developed a website and marketing strategy to take their small family owned business to new heights. Summitorizaba.com is the most successful guiding company in the region, sending hundreds of clients up this 18,500′ classic mountaineering peak each year.

Soon, David set out to attempt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa and wanted to use that same model to partner with a local company. David set up a meeting with a small guide company owner and was immediately impressed with his professionalism, drive, attention to detail and management style. The only thing missing was the right marketing and support system. A dynamic partnership was formed and almost immediately launched the small company into one of the biggest, most successful companies in Tanzania.

Together, they have turned climbkili.com into a Kilimanjaro powerhouse, sending almost a thousand clients a year to the rooftop of Africa. They also have built and grown a beautiful luxury tented camp in the plains of the Serengeti, where their clients and many others enjoy safari year round.

“One of the most rewarding things you can do is turn your passion into a profession. Helping someone prepare for a trip of a lifetime and seeing them accomplish something they never thought possible, there is nothing more rewarding.” -David Snow

After visiting Mount Everest in 2017, Snow fell in love with the Himalayas and formed great friendships with some amazing Sherpas. He is striving to give back to the community and to the people who helped guide him to the top of the world. Along with his partners Lhakpa Gelu Sherpa and Sange Sherpa, David operates Adventure Ascents, a Himalayan climbing and trekking company in Nepal.
